Wayne Fyvie, former Springbok and Sharks rugby player

Most people know the name Wayne Fyvie, former Springbok and Sharks Rugby player. Wayne not only played for these teams but also led them onto the park as their captain – 94 occasions for the Natal, 25 for the Sharks, and 3 test for the Springboks and 5 midweek games.

Since leaving the world of Rugby in 2001, he has taken the same drive and determination (that resulted in his considerable successes in the sporting arena) into the business world, channeling his energy into a business ventures greenOFFICE.

During these years of growth, greenOFFICE has achieved several awards, such as being voted one of SA’s most promising companies by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute and, more recently, Most Environmental Company Of The Year at the 2011 Proudly South African Homegrown Awards.

greenOFFICE currently supplies national Corporates like ABSA, Foschini, Mr Price, Nedbank, UTI, Relyant group and Spar.

greenOFFICE has embraced broad based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) by making each person who works at greenOFFICE a shareholder in the business as well as employing a diverse compliment of staff.

greenOFFICE people are passionate about South Africa and the company has been a member of the Proudly South African campaign since 2002.

As far a social responsibility goes, greenOFFICE is on the ball and aligned itself in partnership with Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund and the QuadPara Association South Africa (QASA). In conjunction with these two funds, greenOFFICE started their own non-profit organisation, greenABLE. greenABLE is a twofold mechanism for social upliftment – through the employment of physically disabled women – as well as environmental responsibility – the complete recycling of damaged printer cartridges (which cannot be remanufactured).

Wayne Fyvie is still involved in rugby sphere through the South African Rugby Legends Association and serves as a trustees for the Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund.
